Powerflushing & System Cleaning

TJD Plumbing, Heating & Gas Ltd offer powerflush services in various locations. We operate from our offices Based in Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells and can cover much of the Kent area and East Surrey and parts of East Sussex.

As part of most modern boiler warranties system cleanliness affects the warranty. We would recommend at a minimum a magnetic flush and chemical flush on all boiler installations.

We offer chemical flushing, mains water flushing, magnetic flushing and power flushing. We own all our own flushing machines. If you have cold spots or if your heating system is inefficient or radiators that wont heat up then as part of a diagnostic powerflushing or one of the other flush types may help.

Power flushing is not a fix all and should only be carried out by trained proffesionals and more importantly only if that will fix the issue. As always TJD Plumbing, Heating & Gas will diagnose the problem and repair any issues and recommend a power-flush only if required.

What is power flushing?

The power flushing pump is  connected to the heating system, either via the pump of by connecting to a pair of radiator valves. Whichever is more convinent and will create less disturbance.

The pumped flow for the machine combined with the ability to flow reverse flow, will dislodge deposits and corrosion which resist traditional system cleaning methods. The debris enters the water flow. We combine our Adey magnetic flush to the power flush machine so the debris is collected in that before reaching the power flush machines reservoir.

All radiators are individually flushed, without removing or disconnecting them from the system, by utilising the full strength of the pump through each radiator individually.

Once the power flush process is complete, the system will need to be retreated with corrosion inhibitor. You can also see the debris for yourselves on the Adey magnets.
